This show is 100% in Mandarin. Hello everyone, I'm Liu Rencheng. I'm really happy to meet you here through the commercial introduction on the ticketing platform. This year marks my ninth year doing stand-up comedy—how terrifying! I'm not a person who sticks with things for long; I always give up too easily. But if I do stand-up for two more years, my time in this industry will exceed the time I spent in school. By then, stand-up will have become the biggest part of my life. Honestly, my personality isn't really suited for stand-up comedy, because I'm a cowardly and timid person. I'm always afraid—afraid that my podcast won't turn out well, afraid of losing competitions, afraid of bombing on stage. But for some reason, I still stepped onto the stage, still made my way into everyone's phones, and still met you through liquid crystal screens and phone speakers, through all those days and nights. This special is called "LiuLiu's Bizarre Adventure." It's a stubborn insistence on my part. Even though it's not a very cool name, I want to tell everyone through this title that this special is a chapter of my life. I've left quite a few traces on the internet—13 stand-up routines from two seasons of the show, over a hundred podcast episodes totaling thousands of minutes of audio. But sometimes, I feel like I'm an invisible person, and I even feel estranged from that version of myself. I often get caught up in the question: will people actually like the real me? In this special, I've given it my all. Compared to before, I hope to bring everyone more joy, and I also hope you can get to know more of who I am. I like every joke in this special, and I will work hard to perform every single one of them well. Come to the live shows, my friends.
