Join us on the eve of the public holiday for Sahra, night of music, stories, and food from across the Arab world. Musicians will be paired into unexpected duos, collaborating live for the first time. Alongside the music, enjoy Egyptian food and the tradition of the Hakawati (storyteller) sharing tales that bridge past and present. It’s an evening of connection, experimentation, and culture. Come be part of it!

About the Host
Laymoon Arts is a not-for-profit dedicated to advancing Arab arts and to exploring their intersections with the many cultures that surround them. It is the creation of six Naarm-based creatives, each deeply connected to their communities and cultures from the Arab-speaking region, and shaped by their rich experiences across it. Collectively, we bring expertise in music, performing arts, visual arts, culinary arts, community building, and not-for-profit leadership. Laymoon (ليمون) means “lemon” in Arabic - a reminder of home, and the burst of flavour, colour, and memory that connects us to our region, our land, and our roots.
