One of the greatest compliments a musician can get is that they make “real music”, and that describes songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Chris Altmann’s approach to his craft. A lover of the traditional roots of rock n’ roll and country, he creates music that people connect with viscerally, whether it’s through heels stomping on a barroom floor, or a heart aching from lost love. In recent years Chris shifted his focus to composing for screen, studying through Berklee College of Music. His songs have been licensed for shows like in Home & Away and Neighbours, and independent films including I’ll Take Your Dead, Beneath, and Vicious Fun. In 2021 he started releasing a series of new singles, challenging listener’s expectations of how a pedal steel guitar can sound.
